Music

Hello everyone! In this opportunity I want to share with you all what music means to me. When the pandemic started and we were all in lockdown, I had a lot of free time that gave me the opportunity to discover many new things, one of which was music. I found a lot of new artists and genres that I relate to. I discovered artists that express what I felt and inspired me, I also heard new sounds that felt so personal even though I had never heard them before. Somehow music became a safe place for me, it was my way to be in touch with my feelings and feel inspired.  Nowadays music is something really personal, it has really become a part of who i am, and because of that i use every opportunity that i have to share the music i like, it is my way to be vulnerable with the people i care about. I also like to share music to help people feel what I felt, I want them to discover new worlds and parts of them through music like I did. An example to show you what music is to me could be ...

Are private schools better?

Hello everyone, in today's blog I will be sharing my opinion on why private schools offer more complete education. I want to start by the fact that, because it is a private school, it is more expensive, so they have more money to work with. It is from this point that all the good aspects of a private school are born.  First, they are able to get better teachers and educators, because they can pay them more, and offer them a better place to work. This connects to my next reason wish is; private school have much better buildings, i mean, classrooms are bigger and have many technologies that can help and make the education process more playful, this also means that they probably count with many different places to spend time, work and do extracurricular activities, making the idea of going to school something more complete, enjoyable and diverse. Finally, coming out of a private school opens the way to many opportunities that you may not have if you went to another type of scho...

Religion in my life

Hi everyone, in todays blog I will be sharing with you the way religion has presented and impact my life, especially as a queer person. My family are christians but not big fans of religion, they believe in god but they don’t talk about it all the time. Still religion is something important to them, so in a way religion has always been present in my life. I remember when I was a child, and I got scared at night before going to bed, so my parents prayed with me until I felt relieved. That really worked for me for a long time, making my relation with religion something good that helped me feel better when I needed it. Sadly that didn’t last long. When I became a teenager I began to discover myself, the things that I liked, and what makes me happy. I presented to the world as a queer non binary person, and  with that also came a realization of what it means to be the way i am, i also realized that religion and religious people (like my parent) wheren’t going to accept me, and that i w...

My thoughts on our country’s health system

If we take a look at the health service in Chile, we can find highlights but also let downs. For example; we are able to get many of the new medicines that are created, but on the other hand, it can be really expensive. Because new treatments appear every day, more people are able to treat their health issues and illnesses that in past years didn’t have a way to be healed. Is for this reason that people can live longer and happier, now that they have a chance to treat their health. But not all can be good, on the other side, new medicine treatments are everything but cheap. Yeah, people live longer and have much better life quality, but live having to pay lifetime debts. In consequence some people decide not to take these treatments, because they can’t pay or don’t want to get into debts,  leaving them to live with health problems. In conclusion, medicine can save lives and give people the opportunity to live healthy. However, having this healthy life can be really expensive, resul...

The evolution of my political view

When I think about my relation with politics and how it has changed throughout my life, the first thing that comes to my mind is how I never showed interest in anything that had to do with politics, I remember thinking that politics were boring and just about people fighting, and going crazy to defend their beliefs. That was until I turned fifteen, and I began to understand what politics means, and why it is so important in our country and the world. This happened because as a queer person from a middle-lower class, I found myself obligated to understand how the world works and how everything that happens affects my life. That’s why today I participate in politics by trying to educate people, so that everyone like me can get visibility and be respect.  To sum up; I was ignorant about politics until I realized that to change the world I needed to understand and be part of politics.
